what do you want at the end of the day?
Monday, February 22, 2010

My approach to every single issue, and i do mean everything, can be likened to the process of growing a crop.

First we decide what matters. What plant am i growing? what conditions are optimum, more sunlight or less water? do i need to consult an expect and ask for help? what do i want from this harvest, more crops or better quality? what do i want at the end of the day?
Then we set the boundaries and routine. What i can and cannot do and how far i can push the boundaries. same amount of water and sunlight everyday, but how often to add pesticides to minimize contamination but yet prevent pests.
Next, we watch it grow. this is where things get interesting. the weather may change, or a friend may suddenly appear and offer help. whatever happens, we adapt, according to the boundaries we have kind of set, but would break them if needed.
And during harvest, we give them one last check before sending them to the market.

i think its exhausting to relate everything to it, but i guess it generally works for things that matter.
although i must say, theres plenty of fun in doing things without too much thought and see what happens as well. (not for everything though. heh)
